Wild Runners in 2015

Hello Wild Runners,

We are well and truly into 2015 now and with each new year comes new and exciting challenges. Why not make one of those challenges an exciting trail running goal?

Calendar of Core

Did you do our Calendar of Core in the lead up to Christmas? We had an awesome response from people all over the world following our 24 day core tune up with participants commenting that they felt much stronger coming out of the program. If you missed it, it’s still online (just ignore all the references to pudding and presents). Why not start from the beginning and work your way through? A strong core is key to good running. It will help keep you injury free, transfer your power to the dirt and most importantly, help you to look great in those race photos. Check it out here.

Brisbane Trail Running Series – Race Three

On the subject of race photos, we’ll be out snapping shots of you at this weekend’sBunyaville Brisbane Trail Running Series race. Check in after the event to see if we caught you on film. Those Guys put on an awesome, beginner friendly event and so the day promises to be really fun. Are you coming this weekend? There is still time to join us there! We’ve also got a race tips session on this Wednesday if you want to get ahead of the crowd.

Beerwah@Night

If you miss out on the Brisbane Trail Running Series, why not join us the week after forRun Queensland’s Beerwah@Night? We love training in the dark, with a session at Mt Coot-tha running every Tuesday night. Why not come along this week to dip your toes in before racing?

Session Updates

With the new year comes a new location. We are now running a Monday Trail Lover session at Karawatha Forest. Karawatha is a beautiful place for trail running and a really handy location for those of you living south of Mt Gravatt and Toohey Forest. Why not combine our Monday and Friday sessions to get a full trail run workout?

In addition to our new location we are now running two sessions at Mt Coot-tha on Thursday. A 5:30 Technique session for those who rise early and a 9:45 School Hours session for all you shift workers and parents who can’t escape to the trails until you’ve dropped the kids off. Both of these sessions are great for all abilities to learn or refresh your running form and see the best results from your 2015 campaigns.

Personalised Programs

Training Programs

As the Wild Runner word is spreading we are getting the opportunity to help more and more runners with a trail specific training program. There are so many factors that come into training for a trail event that aren’t present in your average road race and its really rewarding to see those of you on programs start to feel more prepared for your upcoming events. If you have set yourself a goal this year, why not have a chat to us about how we can help you achieve it? Each of our weekly plans are made from scratch to suit your schedule, your ability and your race.

That’s all for today. We need to leave some time to trail run after all! Remember, our sessions are for all abilities and are free to try so make January the time you give it a go. Discover the trails and never turn back!

See you in the Wild,

Tim Coles
